We have been notified of an email threat received by the Orono Police Department listing several Maine schools as targets for violence. No schools in MSAD #4 were identified on the list. As always, we will continue to be abundantly cautious as we proceed through the remainder of the day. I will provide updates as needed.

The Camden Conference Seminar class at PCHS was pleased to host Matt Storin, former Editor of the Boston Globe, as a guest speaker on 01/21/2020. Mr. Storin shared a brief chronology of his career working in newspapers and news media, his thoughts on the current media landscape, and fielded questions from students regarding his experiences in the United States and abroad.
Mr. Storin's lecture is one piece of the larger preparation that students have been undertaking in order to attend the 33rd annual Camden Conference, a weekend long global affairs program presented by experts and eminent figures in their fields of work, over February break. This year's topic, entitled The Media Revolution: Changing the World, is centered around Internet-based media and news, and all of the featured presenters will speak to that effect. Upon returning from the conference, students will be composing policy essays based on what they have learned over the course of the year as well as creating individual capstone projects.
For more information on the Conference itself, please visit the following website:
